The willful and wild-spirited Isabelle Davidson sneaks away with her father’s prisoner, Laird Connor Cameron, to elude marriage to a brutal laird. But, when the consequences of her actions endanger her clan and immediate family, Isabelle realizes she needs to go back and take up her duties as the laird’s daughter and follow through with the marriage to maintain peace.
Laird Connor Cameron will be presented to his sworn enemy to seal the marriage between his enemy, Laird Mackintosh, and the untamed Isabelle Davidson. When Connor agrees to see Isabelle safely hidden from her ruthless betrothed, he does not expect her to work her way into his heart. Now she has changed her mind and feels the need to go back. Without letting on that he has fallen for the headstrong woman, Connor tries to convince her that going back is a bad idea and will not right all the wrong done.
